INTRODUCTION TO Reformer Teacher Training

This is an introductory course aimed at fitness professionals who are keen to upskill their knowledge of Reformer Pilates. Our approach is current, practical, inspiring, and focused on trainers who want the best out of their clients. This course offers comprehensive, in-person training designed to equip you with skills and confidence.
On this course, we will:
review anatomy and physiology
review Pilates principles and repertoires
be confident in class planning and programming ideas
supporting clients and including ideas for cues and props, timing exercises, and whole-class management
discuss real-world expectations and life as a self-employed trainer
Requirements: We require that you hold a current qualification that includes foundational knowledge in anatomy and physiology, as the Reformer Pilates course is not considered entry-level. If needed, we’re happy to recommend preparatory courses to help you meet these prerequisites.

This course is designed for fitness professionals who are already working in the industry and are looking to upskill in Pilates/Reformer instruction or expand their current offerings.

Duration: 5 consecutive weekdays (Monday to Friday)

Day 5: Includes a practical assessment

10 Hours of Participation in Reformer classes

The remaining 50% is due 4 weeks before the course start date.

ATHLETIC Reformer: INSTRUCTOR UPSKILL COURSE

As the popularity of athletic Reformer continues to grow, instructors are increasingly expected to deliver fast-paced, challenging and intelligently programmed classes that blend strength, endurance and functional movement. This course will equip you with the tools, repertoire and teaching strategies needed to create engaging, high-energy sessions while maintaining the principles of Pilates.
The training is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining both online and in-person study. Modules 1–3 are completed online and are designed to provide a concise overview and refresh key knowledge you should already have from your previous Reformer training. Modules 4–6 are also supported with online learning materials, allowing you to review and consolidate the content in your own time.
The in-person training days are dedicated exclusively to the practical application of Modules 4–6. During these sessions, you will focus on bringing the material to life through movement, coaching and teaching practice, ensuring you can confidently apply what you have learned in a real class setting.
Across the in-person training, you will explore an updated athletic Reformer repertoire, learn how to structure progressive class programming, and refine your coaching and cueing techniques for a group fitness environment. Emphasis is placed on practical learning, giving you extensive opportunities to teach, receive feedback and build confidence in delivering athletic-style sessions.
Requirement: Must hold a recognised or in-house Reformer qualification and be currently delivering Reformer classes or personal training sessions.

This training is designed for certified Reformer instructors who already hold a recognised Reformer teaching qualification (or in house Reformer training) and are ready to evolve their teaching into a more dynamic, athletic style.
