Frequently asked questions.

  • The cost of the course is £1200.

    You can choose to pay:

    • In full, upfront
      OR

    • In two instalments:

      • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

      • The remaining 50% is due 4 weeks before the course start date.

    Please note:
    If the remaining 50% balance is not received by the due date, your place may be offered to someone on the waitlist.

    Once the full balance has been paid, your place on the course is non-refundable. We understand that sometimes plans change, while the course is generally non-transferable, we’re happy to review individual situations on a case-by-case basis. Please get in touch with the team if you need support.


  • Included in the price of the course is:

    • Access to extensive online learning material

    • The FOIRM manual with space to make notes and write down questions for the tutor 

    • In-person learning days and a final assessment. 

    • Ongoing support from your appointed tutor prior, during, and after the course

  • We get it, life happens sometimes things change. Unfortunately, all course deposits are non-refundable. Should you be unable to attend the in-person days we may be able to transfer to a future course date if it is outside the two-week window. Please get in touch with us at hello@foirm.co.uk.

  • Our course is open to fitness professionals who are passionate about either upskilling the Reformer Teacher Training they have already received or fitness instructors working within the industry looking to begin their teacher training journey. 

    Prerequisite: 

    • Mat Pilates certification

    • OR a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course

    • OR a Gym Instructor equivalent qualification

    Contact us if you are unsure your current qualifications meet our requirements. 

    Please note: This course is not considered entry-level. We require that you hold a current qualification that includes foundational knowledge in anatomy and physiology. 

    If needed, we are happy to recommend preparatory courses to ensure you meet these requirements.


  • You will have access to the online learning material as soon as you purchase your place on the course. We recommend starting to work through the online learning material as you’re able but, at a minimum, four weeks before the start of your course.

  • The in-person training days are held at Hone Pilates Goldenacre in Edinburgh.

  • Technically, yes – but we won’t let that happen without adequate support. The in-person training days are there to give you the tools and guidance to pass your assessment on the final day

    Should you not meet the requirements, you’ll receive feedback and support to resit your examination on another course date. You can re-sit the examination once at no charge; after this, an examination fee may apply.


    • 10 Hours total of class participation

    • 10 Hours total of class observation to be signed off by the instructor

    • 1 Beginner class plan

    • 1 Intermediate class plan

    • Attendance of in-person training days

    • Final In-Person teaching assessment

  • Once you have successfully completed the course, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion for Reformer Teacher Training Certification from FOIRM. 

  • You will have full access to the training team before, during, and after your course. We are here to support and guide through the whole process.
